Rainiers Baseball

Our first day in Tumwater, WA, Marti and Daryl provided us with tickets to the Rainiers minor league baseball game. Because Daryl's bank is a sponsor, we were able to get "gold member" tickets, which meant that we got seats right behind home plate and we got VIP priviledges like free snacks and drinks.

It was our first time as a family at a "real" baseball game, and it worked out especially well because the middle school that Alex would have gone to in Washington was going to the game also, so he got to see and sit with all his school friends from Washington.

Jarem loves baseball, and enjoyed the game and has continued talking about it ever since. The girls liked it as well, although I think Jesikah mostly enjoyed being with Ally and eating snacks.

Interestingly enough, the Tacoma Rainiers played the Nashville Sounds. We didn't know who to cheer for, so we just cheered for both. :) Also, near the end of the game, we realized that we had been on the plane with the whole Nashville Sounds team on our flight to Seattle. Eric bought himself and all the kids Rainier hats for souvenirs. Jarem also got a bat, and Alex got a ball. Unfortunately we forgot our camera in the car, so we had to settle for cell phone pictures. I think we are going to check out a Nashville Sounds game sometime soon.

Looks like you had a great time. Wish I could have gone...having to go to work is so lame! Maybe we can catch a Nashville game while I'm there in July! Would be funny if they were playing the Rainiers. :)
