Blue and Gold Banquet

Last night was our Cub Scout blue and good banquet. It was a circus theme and very well planned and put together. The decorations were really bright and vibrant with balloons in popcorn containers. Each family made a circus-themes cake for the cakewalk. Ours ended up being a wal-mart special cause I didn't read my email until right before. Ugh!  There were hot dogs and nachos. Face painting and the cake walk were part of the fun.

This is the cake we won. Isn't it clever!  Elissa Boyles made it!  She always has such great ideas. It has marshmallows on top that look like popcorn with a yellow cake and buttercream frosting underneath!! That is one HUGE cake!!  I don't know if we will be able to eat it all, but it is tasty!

Jarem earned the Thomas S Monson award. It is a really neat award. He also got some belt loops.

Eric got an award, but I had to claim it for him since he was home sick with a migraine. Micah tried out the goldfish before the meeting was over. :)

We have some talented artists in our ward. Check out this dragon!

Jarem got the red eye so that he could be on a certain team at the end. Check out his elephant slide that he received!  I thought it was pretty cute.

It was a fun night with the 2 girls and 2 boys. Alex was at an away soccer scrimmage. It was his first match of the season. I'm looking forward to seeing him play soon!!
