This is the last post of our fall break. I got the last two days mixed up though. This was Friday, and the beach was on Saturday.
On Friday , Eric, TJ, and Kyle went golfing in the morning while Jessica and I babysat. Sunny had to work the night before, and she was making the cake for the surprise party for Eric's Grandma's birthday that evening. (She and TJ moved to Florida this past summer live about 40 minutes away from Grandma) Sunny made it to Grandma's house late in the afternoon, and finished frosting the cake. Then, the boys babysat and ordered pizza while us girls got a short little shopping trip. Despite it not being too long, it was a good time and fun to reconnect with my sister-in-laws. Jesikah wanted to come along, so she joined the ranks of the sister-in-laws.
When we returned home, we got out the cake and a few presents and had a small surprise birthday party for Grandma. Her birthday was the following week, and I think she might have had a clue what was going on, but she acted surprised. I don't think she wanted me to take pictures though because she mentioned being in her lounge clothes and that her hair hadn't been fixed. It wasn't about how she looked though, it was about the celebration of her life and legacy. She turned 81 this year!
