Magic Kingdom

Entering the Magic Kingdom

Our first ride was space mountain...it was closed last time we went.  Tessa and Jesikah got to go twice because of the partner swap for Jarem
Waiting in line for the Speed Racers

Jesikah is wearing her Minnie Mouse earrings that we bought last year at Disney and gave her for Christmas.  She had to wait a long time before she could wear them.

Alex and Eric as the passengers

I'm driving at Jesikah's request while she uses my camera to take pictures

Tessa giving a "don't take my picture" look...

But then she smiled...afterall, she was the driver

Jarem with Eric...Jarem was happy to be driving too

Thunder mountain from the Riverboat Cruise

Thunder mountain railroad (from the riverboat).  This was one of our favorite rides that we went on twice.  Jarem had a love/hate relationship with it.

On the Jungle Cruise...we had a very interesting tour guide...he kept it real :)

Alex waiting for the parade

Alex and Tessa waiting for the parade.  Jesikah and Eric were gone to get pineapples floats and root beer floats.  The pineapple floats were pretty good, but I still wished I would have gotten the Mickey Mouse ice cream bar. :)

Jarem one more time before the parade

Woody and Jesse in the parade

Pinnochio, Jiminy Cricket, and one of the 7 dwarves

Mary Poppins

Princess and the Frog (I tried to get ones we didn't see last time)

Jesikah had to get a picture of this because Alex always comes up with weird names to call people (mainly family members) and Pecos Bill is one of them. They also like to name their lego birds "Pecos"

Waiting for the carousel

Eric being goofy

Alex wasn't too happy that I was taking his picture on this

Jesikah (poor lighting on hers)

We didn't visit Toontown last time, so the girls and Jarem and I went around while Eric and Alex found a shady bench.  This was a big chair on Minnie's back porch.

The girls LOVED the life-size playhouses.  I think Minnie's was their favorite, but the picture didn't turn out.  This is Mickey's house

As we were leaving, around 6, there was another parade (we thought).  Come to find out, it was a street party and all the characters came down off the floats and were getting everyone to dance in the street.  We lasted for a few minutes and then continued out.

We had a great day.  We woke up early so we could drive from Grandma Guelde's to Disney(abt 1 1/2 hours),  and still get there a few minutes before it opened, so we were a bit tired.  We followed the Unofficial Guidebook again on rides, and it didn't steer us wrong.  We didn't wait more than 20 minutes in any line.  The kids loved Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Thunder Mountain.  Jarem liked Buzz Lightyear which we went on twice and it stopped both times, but it just gave us more time to get points with our lazer guns.  Jarem wanted to go on Dumbo, but we didn't make it over there.  We compromised and went on Buzz Lightyear twice instead.  We didn't stop for any character pictures this time which saved us some time and allowed for more rides.  The kids didn't even ask to stop so I think they got their fill last year.  All in all, it was a good day.

We stopped at the grocery store on the way back and then headed to Grandma Cindi's Kissimmee house.  Grandma was there and the house was nice.  She and Steve have put a lot of work into remodeling it.  The kitchen is beautiful with new cabinets and all, and they redid the bathroom and painted everywhere.  They finished the hardwood floors too.  It was a nice little place to stay.  Kyle and Jessica stayed there with us also.  It has 3 bedrooms and one bathroom, so it was a little crowded, but mostly just cozy, and it worked great.  Grandma Cindi even had the kitchen stocked.

I love the magic kingdom! First, I have to say I was so surprised to see how tall Alex has gotten-holy cow! We all love Big Thunder Railroad (except Scott who doesn't like ANY roller coasters), and the Jungle Cruise is my all-time favorite ride. I make Scott & the girls go on it with me every chance I get :) It's neat that you got to see some different characters. After a while the girls were tired of standing in line to get pix with characters, also. That does free up your day quite a bit. We are planning on going back to DisneyWorld in 2016 for our 25 year anniversary. Can't wait!
