Easter Egg Hunt

Due to our crazy Saturday schedule, I took Jarem and Tessa to an Easter Egg hunt at our gym while Eric watched Alex and Jesikah play soccer. Jesikah was terribly disappointed that she didn't get to go, but as it turned out, the oldest that could participate in this one was 7, so it would have been even more disappointing to go and not get to do it.

Tessa and Jarem were both the oldest in their age groups, so they did well and got lots of eggs. It was perfect because there weren't that many kids. It turned out to be a sunny day and they both had a great time. Tessa got two prize eggs, but she gave one to Jarem. She chose the cuddly bear and he chose the "hot car". Eric showed up at soccer with Jarem wearing his cape. I asked why, and he said that Jarem insisted on wearing it so he could be "super fast" hunting for eggs. :) It worked I guess, he was pretty fast!

Collecting eggs

Both kids Easter egg hunts started at the same time, so I only got pictures of Jarem collecting eggs since I had to stay with him.

Over by the fence now

Look how many I got?

I think they got quite a few!

How fun! And it was sunny and dry-a definite bonus after all the wet & rainy Easter egg hunts in Washington! We didn't go this year which is kinda sad because this was the last year Gabby would have been able to participate-they only go up to age 10. Sigh. It's hard when the kids grow up and grow out of things!

How fun! I love that Jarem HAD to wear the cape, that is just too cute! He has such a funny personality!

I am so glad he loved it! He looks super cute in it too! Maybe I should get one for Joshua! I love the idea of him wearing it everywhere.
