We left around 4:00pm after watching Jesikah open her presents after school. We had a plan. We were going to Nashville to shop for a fairway wood golf club for Eric (a gift from me for our anniversary), eat at Texas Roadhouse (which we'd been wanting to try for awhile), have frozen custard for dessert at one of two options. Eric had the golf shop picked out, and I had the food covered. I had the addresses, phone numbers, hours, and had even read reviews on these places. The evening should have gone smooth.
The trip to Nashville was pleasant and went as planned. We found the golf store right away. After spending quite some time in the golf store, Eric couldn't find the club he wanted and was frustrated by the high prices. Finally we left empty-handed with him being a little grumpy. We headed to dinner. We found the place where Texas Roadhouse was...the windows were boarded up and the restaurant was no longer in business. We wouldn't be eating there.
The mall was closeby so we went in to find a place to eat inside. We could only see fast food places which wasn't what we had in mind. We got back in the car to head to Green Hills Mall where we knew we could at least find the Cheesecake Factory.
As we started to head out, we passed a golf store. I told Eric he should just stop and see if they had the club he wanted. He immediately turned around and went in. I stayed in the car cause I was on the phone with Tessa who was crying and saying Alex was being mean. Things just were not going as planned...
After rectifying the problem at home, I sat in the car wondering if we should have even bothered going out. After waiting 15-20 minutes, I decided that he must have found something, so I went inside. Sure enough, he was back hitting it into the virtual screen where it tells you how far it went, etc. etc. He was having a great time, and the guy was giving him some helpful tips, so I sat down to watch. The club was the one he wanted, but the
I am so grateful for my good husband. I really believe that we become more in love with each other every year that we are married. As I think of all the things we've shared (good and bad), I can't imagine sharing my life with anyone else. I love you, Eric.
