Exhausted Boys

I got this picture along with the following note from Alex's seminary teacher this morning.
"Sometimes the boys are so overcome with the spirit that they "find their strength so exhausting as to render them unable...strength entirely failing them and falling helpless, quite unconscious of anything"...LOL! And how appropriate, we talked about Joseph Smith this morning."

She is quoting from Joseph Smith history. I thought it was pretty funny. Alex didn't get home until 11:10 last night, so getting up at 5:15 was no easy task for him. I guess I'll let it go just this once. ;) I am glad she had a sense of humor about it.

7 Months Already?

Yes, I just posted his 6 month pictures last week, but they were taken earlier, and now he is 7 months! :)  Time is just going way too fast!

He can now:
  • Roll both ways
  • Sit unsupported
  • Still only says "dada"
  • Is learning how to play with a lot of his musical toys
  • Gets excited about things by moving his arms and legs really fast
  • Recognizes his family members
  • Has started waking up again in the night (ugh, and he has always been such a great sleeper too)!
  • Is now sleep trained for naps and going to bed (I just lay him in his bed and sometimes he fusses or whines for a couple of minutes and then goes to sleep).
  • No new teeth since last month
  • Is starting to create his own games (He played peekaboo with Eric a few days ago by putting the blanket over his head and pulling it down.  He played a game with me the other day too, when I would go to kiss him, he would pull back just before I touched my lips to him and laugh.)
  • He is getting very good with his hand control as far as holding and handling toys.
  • He will take a nap during church still (since about 4 months, I have been able to get him to take a nap at church every week in his carseat).  It has been such a blessing because before that he was just miserable at church and so was I!!
  • He can sit in his stroller now without his carseat

Here's some pictures of the little cutie taken on his 7 month birthday.  He is a true joy to have in our home!  Every day I feel beyond blessed that I get to spend my days with him.  He is so much fun!

Love those teeth!

He was laughing at my when I would peek out from behind the camera and say "peekaboo"

I cut off his toes. :(

He still loves to grab and suck his toes.

Sitting up.  I love this one, definitely looks like a Bass here!

He kind of nestled in this blanket when I was trying to straighten it out and I thought it was cute.

We still get his tongue out smiles sometimes too.
