Jesikah went to her 8th grade dance last Friday. It is kind of like their big party to celebrate going into high school. They don't do a middle school graduation or anything. Instead, they all dress up and go to a dance. They talk about it all year. She had a good time. She went to dinner at one of these friend's house before the dance.
Afterwards they wanted to go to a movie and they had already arranged the group which somehow happened to consist of two boys and two girls. Well, since she can't date until she is 16, Eric and I ended up taking advantage of the chance to go to the movie also. So, we took them to the late movie and went too. Jesikah was so embarrassed at first, but after awhile she decided it was ok. I put Micah to bed and left him with the kids. He never wakes up after being put to bed. But, it did comfort me to know that my sister, Melanie, was there in case something went bad. Fortunately everything went as planned and he didn't wake up. And the movie turned out pretty good too. :) I was tired the next day though. It's been a long time since I've stayed up that late.

Jesikah, you look so grown up and beautiful! What a great way to end middle school. Gabby also has a big 8th grade dance coming up, but hers is more causal..I believe they are doing the 70's for their theme and everyone is getting tie dye shirts. I can't believe you'll both be in high school next year.
Jesikah is such a beautiful young lady! Good for you and Eric for going with them!
