Senior Night

Senior night was a wonderful night celebrating the 7 seniors on the soccer team this year.  They played West Creek and won!  Alex played most of the game.  In between the JV and Varsity games, each senior was recognized individually and walked out on the field with their parents.  Each player walked through a tunnel of swords created by the JROTC to meet their parents and gave their mom a rose.  It was a wonderful night and I was so proud of all Alex has accomplished in soccer the past 4 years.  He has had his ups and downs, but he has persevered and tried hard.  This year has been especially hard for him because he would go to work after soccer practice each day except the days they had games.  Balancing work, soccer, and school while taking 2 AP classes (Calculus and Physics) as well as Latin III has required him to manage his time very carefully.  He has been really tired at work, has sacrificed sleep, and has had little free time but he has maintained a standard of excellence in every area of his life.  I couldn't be prouder.

One of the parents had this cake made with the seniors pictures, and they had a little reception afterwards.

Each boy received a signed ball from all the players, a poster of highlight pictures of them as well as a few snacks
