Off we go pulled by horses
One of many beautiful gardens around Nauvoo
View of the temple from the wagon ride
We passed by Porter Rockwell's grave
This is a covered wagon made similar to what was used to move West across the plains
This shows how the wagon would fit in the boat to get across the Mississippi
The wagon ride took us on the road right next to the Mississippi
We visited many homes and shops that have been restored to the way they were in the 1840's. This was a favorite of Eric...the Browning Gunsmith shop.
Many of the homes had similar furnishings as this one. Many of their businesses were part of their home. This was in the Browning home.
Some of the guns invented by the Browning family
An early multiple shot gun (I don't remember what it was called, but I know Ben was impressed. :)
Listening to the narration given in the Browning shop
Colton and Alex finishing their lunch and enjoying the shade for a moment.
This was the post office.
The following day we took a carriage ride. Here we are on the back of the carriage. This was one of my favorite of the last few days. The narrator did an excellent job. This ride took us through the country of which I hadn't seen before and shared some great stories.

Love the pics, Barry just got finished reading the latest book on Porter Rockwell and loved it! Dad said they had a great time in Nauvoo. So glad they were able to see the pageant.
